Our final destination: Ziguinchor in the Casamance. Landing grew up here and his family still lives here. We were their guests for the days to come. Ziguinchor used to be fairly well connected to Dakar by boat, but since the ferry capsized with 2000 people drowning, the connection has been severed, leaving Casamance in a bit of a rut. Business is slacking, but apparently a new boat has been bought and it should be picking up 'soon'.
