On the Island of shells, giant baobabs have grown on the unstable soil. The one I'm standing in has been used by the ancient inhabitants of the isle as a meeting hall for the council of elders. The island was formed from shells that were discarded by the former inhabitants; on the highest peak it stood 12 meters above sea level. Impressive amount of shellfish to have been eaten.
