A nice farm in an area called 'de Rottige Meente' (meaning the foul commons). Obviously it lies in Friesland. It is also an area where the swampiness of the terrain made it unusefull for the farmers and why they used it as commons for grazing and other things (latrines?). But after they started collecting peat, they started using the higher areas for housing. And this is a nice example of it.
